Police, OSHA investigate death of Lebanon town employee

The York County Sheriff’s Office is releasing more details about the workplace death of a Lebanon town employee.

Police say 41-year-old David Goodwin of Lebanon was struck by an excavator on June 15. It happened around 1 p.m. near 205 Shapleigh Road, where Goodwin was working as a flagger.

He was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital due to injuries he sustained from falling after the excavator hit him. He died on Saturday.

The York County Sheriff’s Office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the death.
