Maine State Police continue their search for a Hampden man who went missing in January.

78-year-old Douglas Dunphy was reported missing on Jan. 16, with the state police major crimes unit now leading that investigation.

Extensive searches of the area have turned up on traces of Dunphy.

With hunting season underway, police are asking hunters to remain vigilant in the woods in Hampden and surrounding areas.

Dunphy is a white male, 5′ 10″ weighing about 210 pounds.

He has green eyes and gray hair.

It’s not clear what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
