Remains Found in Augusta Identified as Gardiner Woman Reported Missing in 2017

AUGUSTA, Maine (WGAN) Investigators have uncovered the remains of a Gardiner woman who went missing in 2017.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, the state medical examiner identified the remains found in the woods near Route 3 and the Cushnoc Bridge in Augusta as 29-year-old Megan Gregory. The remains were found on April 7th and were identified using dental records.

Gregory was reported missing to Gardiner police in June of 2017.

A cause of death has not been determined, but police say it doesn’t appear suspicious. They say her body had likely been there since she was reported missing.
