Search of Belgrade home leads to seizure of hundreds of marijuana plants

Kennebec County deputies say they seized more than 700 marijuana plants from an illegal pot growing operation Thursday morning.

The sheriff’s office says police raided a home on Oakland Road in Belgrade as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

The plants found inside were seized and destroyed.

The investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made yet.
