Suspect arrested in University Credit Union robbery

Portland police responded to a report of a robbery at the University Credit Union on 391 Forest Avenue.

The suspect entered the bank and escaped with $100 in cash before fleeing down Forest Avenue; no weapon was seen during the robbery.

Video surveillance and investigatory measures helped catch the suspect later that day and he was taken into custody.

Portland Police arrested 64-year-old Kenneth Morey Jr. of Portland. He was charged with Robbery, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Theft.

Morey Jr. was transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
