Teenager in critical condition after dirt bike collides with car

A 19-year-old from Lewiston who collided with a car while riding dirt bike is in critical condition.

According to the Sun Journal, Damonte Powell was riding a dirt bike illegally on a city street around 10:30 p.m. Thursday when he struck a sedan at the intersection of Sabattus and College Streets.

Police say Powell blew through a light at the intersection.

He was listed in critical condition at Maine Medical Center on Friday, while the driver of the car was not hurt.
