Washington County man sentenced for 2017 killing

A third defendant charged in the killing of a Whitneyville man in 2017 has been sentenced.

The body of 48-year-old Wayne Foss was discovered in October of that year at his home, which had been set on fire.

Justin Matthews of Robbinston was sentenced Thursday to 10 years behind bars for felony murder.

Basilio Liranzo of the Bronx, New York was previously sentenced to 16 years for felony murder and arson, while Leanza Boney, also from the Bronx, will spend five years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder.
