WESTBROOK, Maine (AP)   Right now, it’s a muddy construction zone but organizers insist Westbrook’s 8,200-capacity “Rock Row” will be ready for its first outdoor concert in less than a month.

Josh Levy from Waterstone Properties Group insists the project is “100% on schedule.” It’s scheduled to open May 26 with a show by hip-hop and funk artist Anderson .Paak.

Jon Dow, general manager of Waterfront Concerts, said the Maine Savings Pavilion at Rock Row will be larger and will have free parking, both advantages over concerts it hosted at the Maine State Pier.

The Westbrook venue is on the site of a former gravel quarry off Route 25 near the Portland line. It’s the first part of a development that’s supposed to include stores, offices and apartments.
