One woman was taken by Life Flight to Maine Medical Center after she drove into the back of a truck that was hauling a utility pole in Lewiston.
According to the Sun Journal, a wreck involving a box truck brought down a pole at the corner of Lisbon and Prospect Streets around 5:15 a.m. Thursday. About three hours later, a woman drove into the back of a truck that was hauling a new pole to the location of the first crash. The pole broke through the vehicle’s windshield.
The woman, who had not been identified Thursday, was in serious condition.
Part of Lisbon Street was closed for most of the day but was expected to reopen for the evening commute on Thursday.
